"QT" FG initializer is not allowing settings, changes.

Damn peculiar problem: My FG 2018.3.2 on Win10-64 install is now bringing up the Cessna 172p loading page with no options to change airports, aircraft or change settings.

I was getting a windows warning about the FG initially having a hard time finding the QT path for windows...* so I reinstalled FG thinking the installation tangled with MS Defender and got quarantined. So now I'm stuck with 1 aircraft and no way to load new airports from QT...?

might want to talk to james on the mailing list as the QT launcher is his baby...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

Well I'm probably calling the 'new' FG selector or initializer by the wrong name. It's the little window that opens when you click the desktop FG.exe icon. It covers primarily just the initial settings like weather, Time of Day, location, aircraft and some misc stuff. It's what has been chosen to replace FGrun..

P.S. It seems I've inadvertently deleted the 'launcher' in the desktop executable, same as the Can't start thread.

OK I have to admit I don't know how to restore the launcher part of the .exe, could someone give me a hand here?

I think you can right-click on it and have the option to append commandline options to it then, so you can simply add --launcher there (from memory...)

Yep - although after you right click, you hit properties and change the path (fgfs.exe) to read fgfs.exe --launcher.
