FG broken Help!!

FG has been working fine but now when I select "Fly" from the launcher after starting FG from the shorcut I see a command window flash briefly and nothing!

I ininstalled FD and reisnstalled from scratch and it's exactly the same.
I ran it from a dos window and I get this:

If I start FG by executing fgfs.exe without the option --launcher, FG loads directly successfully.

Have you tried deleting all files in directory C:/Users/username/Appdata/Roaming/flightgear.org ?

Flightgear uses these files to store settings from the last time it was run. If they do not exist new files will be generated so there is no danger.

That fixed the problem! I had searched for something like these files but mised these file for some reason. I'd cleared all the registry entries but that hadn't made any difference.

Thanks very much!

technically, it likely didn't fix the problem but the action removed the reason for the problem... it could have been a locked database file causing the abort... or it could have been a bad saved-data file from one of the craft you've flown... unfortunately, while removing those files did clear the problem, we still don't know what the problem was...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

It's the first time this happened. If it occurs again, is there any logging information I could supply?

Most of the times when FG starts, flashes a command window, and does nothing, the problem is that no mulitplayer server was selected, but multiplayer is enabled. Just open the launcher again, select a mpserver, and it should work fine (or turn mp off).
