QT Launcher file selector window issue

Postby wlbragg » Tue Oct 24, 2017 4:36 am

I am frustrated beyond belief over a new bug that reared its ugly head with the QT Launcher.

The little square in the red circle is supposed to be a file selector pop-up. Every selector pop-up generated by the QT Launcher is doing this. I've tried key combinations to force it open to a workable size. I have deleted pretty much every piece of FlightGear cash I can think of to fix it to no avail. My last resort is to wipe the FlightGear program in its entirety and recompile.

It happened when trying to set some additional aircraft locations.

Has anyone seen this before? If so is there an easy solution?

Really frustrating to waist over an hour and to have to wipe cache settings to try to get the system back, yet to still be in this situation.

did you get it fixed? i've not seen anything on the dev list which is where i'd expect to see james' looking into something like this...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

Nope, I quit using the --launcher switch and I am starting the aircraft with the command line. I suppose I should post something on the dev list.

FYI, rebooting the CPU fixed the problem. Although I managed to do it again temporarily. I think I have an idea what type of action causes this. May be able to reproduce at will. But I would rather not have to reboot so I think I will just let it be.
