tu 134 is missing a nose

Postby tominto » Wed Oct 18, 2017 8:14 pm

Hello. I'm using the latest version of Flightgear on Ubuntu 16.04. I recently downloaded the tu 134 from FGAddon. It's a nicely rendered aircraft, however it seems to be missing the nose. Am I missing something, or is this the way it's supposed to be? How can I get the nose to be displayed? I load flightgear via the terminal in case this somehow makes a difference

Thanks

i see this, too... looks like part of the model is missing... i'm not seeing any errors in my logs, though... trying now to figure out how fgviewer works to maybe look at the craft with it...

[EDIT]

i see the same thing in fgviewer (missing nose) but i can't get it to load the whole craft... when i try loading fgviewer from fgfs, that totally fails... probably due to path problems since my flightgear stuff is built using the d&c script... the things that are missing when i do get fgviewer to load the craft don't indicate anything to do with the nose... it almost looks like the model is not complete to that point... or maybe it has multiple noses available depending on which livery is used but i don't see any errors when switching liveries, either...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

For now you can set the livery nose (sim/model/livery/noze) in the property tree to 0, 1 or 2. I am still checking to see exactly where the error is.

Line 58 in Aircraft/Tu-134/tu134-base.xml should read
<int n="8" type="int" alias="/sim/model/livery/noze">1</int>
instead of
<int n="8" type="int" alias="/sim/model/Livery/noze">1</int>

Note: should be lowercase l, not uppercase L.

how easy would it be to get this fix pushed to FGAddon?
