Not getting sound on any aircraft

In order to help you, we need to know a lot of information. Make sure to include answers to at least the following questions in your initial post.
- what OS (Windows Xp/Vista, Mac etc.) are you running?
- what FlightGear version do you use?
- what graphics card do you have?

Not getting sound on any aircraft

I have been playing 2016.1.1 for awhile, I recently upgraded to 2016.4.3. One day, I was landing in the KSFO- KDEN event, I was expecting it to countdown but it did not. Not only that, I do not get sound when i'm flying the plane either, no engine sounds, gear sounds, alarms, landing sounds or anything. Is this a bug or did I just delete some files? I was talking to other people about this problem but they couldn't help me. Any solution?

Menu -> File -> Sound settings -> check the output device is correct
If your on windows, check that Flightgear is not muted in the volume mixer.
