Yak3 has strange artifacts

Postby guzzi948 » Fri Sep 02, 2016 6:49 am

I tried to use the yak3, found it had no instruments and an odd artifact poking out the front:

I've tried looking a reference to a stray model with no luck.
Any clues please?
cheers

If you start the Yak and move forward, does the blue and yellow glider move with you?

If it does, throw the yak away and download a new one. The glider is a default aircraft which is shown when your version of FG doesn't contain a certain aircraft. there must be a scenery object of a stationary aircraft placed on that runway.

Hopefully you can leave it behind when you fly off.

The glider moves with the yak, and I've tried deleting and downloading a new one. The one thing I did notice whilst looking for a stray model or similar that yak3-set.xml has a reference pointing to a non existent submodel.xml file:
Code: Select all
  <submodels>
    <serviceable type="bool">true</serviceable>
    <path>Aircraft/yak3/Models/submodels.xml</path>
  </submodels>

I have tried to comment that out with no change.

Sorry, I hoped it was a simple solution, but evidently not.

I guess one of the aircraft developers will have to take a look.

Good luck with this.
