Alps Tour LOWZ-LOWI 31/3 19:00 UTC

Postby Volador » Thu Mar 25, 2021 9:58 pm

After the recent success of the LOWS LOWZ tour, our wonderful tour guide has suggested another tour from LOWZ to LOWI on Wednesday 31st March. I'll suggest we aim to have wheels up promptly at (edited) 19:00 UTC so do arrive and prepare anytime from 18:30 UTC at LOWZ. jitsi link for screen share and chat https://meet.jit.si/FGtour2021

Please let everyone know the model of aircraft below so we can download and see you in multiplayer.

I will do again the c172p, and I tested it today around Mt. Venediger to the Krimmler Wasserfälle. Climb rate is good enough that we can reach the first ridge without doing an extra loop :)

Your link is broken, this is working: https://wiki.flightgear.org/Suggested_F ... _Venediger

I will very probably not land at Innsbruck but at Warngau.

LOWZ is glider territory, so expect training circuits on grass runway 08/26. Aircraft in use: ASK21

Would love to, but it is a bit late in the evening, so I will add a bit to the scenery.

Nice idea, guys!

Any votes to bring the time of the trip forward to wheels up 19:00 UTC? Beni? (I would be in favour of 19:00 UTC)

Here are some free starting places (just drop them in the launcher location input box and adjust heading in the location dialog):

Please tell which one you'll use, so we don't crash into each other :)

- P1 47.292474, 12.789991 @160° (i'll take this one)
- P2 47.292394, 12.789712 @160°
- P3 47.292333, 12.789034 @160°
- P4 47.292035, 12.789641 @345°
- P5 47.291897, 12.788799 @345°
- P6 47.291663, 12.787390 @345°
left of P6 are still some spots left, if needed.
