Fourth of July Event?

Postby Turnit » Sun Jul 01, 2018 5:10 pm

This is late notice and everyone has probably made plans by now, but is there anyone interested in doing a Fourth of July Event on the third or fourth? The idea I had is we would travel to the original 13 colonies, flying in a B25. I will link below the proposed route I made up. If done on the third, we would start around 2 to 3 PM Pacific/5 to 6 Eastern, and if the fourth probably early morning, like 7-8 AM Pacific/10 - 11 Eastern.

I might have a go on the 4th, I'll see what's gonna happen.

Yea, anyone who is free may come. I just had the idea falling asleep last night, so I wont be sad if nothing comes to fruition.

Well, it looks like I will be doing stuff on the Fourth, so is anyone interested in doing it on the third?

Estimated flight time for the whole event is 8:38, not including layovers for fuel or other things, so I would propose an early afternoon pacific start time tomorrow. I think 1 Pacific/4 Eastern works the best, unless you have another idea. Still - anyone is welcome to come.

Happy 4th of July to all the Americans around here!
In case someone wants to have some kind of informal event I'm suggesting a meeting at any USAF base or civilian airport on the East Coast flying whatever plane you want. I'll be messin' around in a P-51 from time to time today.
Enjoy yourselves!
Cheers, Mav
