So can I join with my own turn of the century lighter than air engine powered airship?

I'm not sure if it's been uploaded to FGMEMBERS yet, so here's a link from my mediafire..

http://www.mediafire.com/file/0xdikezx63gdpmd/Model-G-Blimp.zip

Should note it's both an aerostat and a airship depending on whether the engine is switched on. A representative of a early 1900's airship.

I am not to happy about it,
- first: it is not a hot air balloon,
- second: it is flying in the direction from what the wind is coming, it should fly the direction in which the wind is blowing,
- third: controlling the altitude is only with magic possible, not really realistic, also a climb rate of 3 meter per second is not possible so you will loose our track very quick
-fourth and very important: there are some errors coming up, can you fix them?
XML sound: couldn't find file: 'Aircraft/RAF-BE-2/Sounds/bump4.wav'
XML sound: couldn't find file: 'Aircraft/Model-G-Blimp/Sounds/StallBuffet2.wav'
osgDB ac3d reader: could not find texture "C:/Program Files/FlightGear 2.6.0/FlightGear/data/Aircraft/Cygnet_II/Models/panel/Instruments/oil-press/instruments.png"
osgDB ac3d reader: could not find texture "instruments.png"
Could not find at least one of the following objects for animation: 'propdisc', 'propblur', 'propeller', 'prophub'
Could not find at least one of the following objects for animation: 'LeftTruckAssemb'

I can not prevent you from taking this model but I would be happy if you take my models for this time, also there will be a recording of the event and if we all use hot air balloons it will look more realistic.

My Turn.. :P

The HUD is scaled for a 16:9 screen not a 5:4, some of us still run older screens, This makes reading the text in the HUD a chore as you have to pan and unzoom, and you cannot keep the HUD always in front with unselecting the 3D option.

Secondly most of the instruments are Russian and in metric.

Thirdly, the woman passenger is missing her texture.

- The HUD is not used in flight, it was just for development, all values are shown in the instruments

Secondly most of the instruments are Russian and in metric.

- All instruments in hot air ballooning are in metric, that is normal, check the manual for hot air ballooning

Thirdly, the woman passenger is missing her texture.

- all others can see it, so it is any kind of problem, maybe download it again, it should be correct in all balloons are different passengers

There is also a logical aerodynamic reason why the Model G Blimp goes forward while it's ascending under buoyancy lift, it's not magic. It's that the airship sits at a 2~4 degree positive AoA when ascending with no engine thrust, and the upper surface of the blimp envelope is being thrust forward ( surfing so to speak..) by the force of the air it's deflecting while rising through it.

Hi there and CAVU my dear FG'ers. The balloon has received a new windreis (rose of the winds) panel design.

Hope you like it.
