discord, fgcom, teamspeak, etc, etc, etc...
fgcom is built into flightgear and i think it does PTT but since i don't MP, i haven't played with it...
My $0.02: discord and teamspeak are proprietary; while most people don't seem to have a problem with that, some do, and I don't think this would be a good fit for a community around *the* open-source flightsim. Besides, discord is quite heavy on hardware resources, especially the web client (which, I believe would be more acceptable to many users than a full-blown proprietary desktop application), which makes it a bit of a problem for users whose hardware is only barely sufficient to run FG smoothly (and even if you have processing power to spare, you will probably want to dedicate as much of it as possible to FG itself).
FGCom, I have absolutely no opinion on this one, and frankly haven't really used it yet because everyone seems to be on mumble anyway. If it's technically up to the task, then sure, but I suspect there's a reason why people seem to prefer mumble. One obvious downside of being integrated into FG is that when your client goes down, so does voice comm - which is probably OK for pilots, because when FG crashes you're not flying anymore anyway, but fo ATC, it would probably be annoying to see their client crash (or even just fat-finger the "close" button) and immediately lose radio comm as well.
