OPRF will attend the FG Festival and use as it's main operating base RAF Leuchars (EGQL): https://github.com/JMaverick16/EGQL-fg-customScenery/

Image

A relocation flight towards there starts today:
Tue 11/01: First leg (KSUU>KCBM)
Wed 11/02: Second leg (KCBM>TXKF)
Thu 11/03: Third leg (TXKF>LPLA)
Fri 11/04: Fourth leg (LPLA>EGQL)

Image

First leg: KSUU>KCBM =1,893 mi
Second leg: KCBM>TXKF =1,380 mi
Third leg: TXKF>LPLA =2,147 mi
Fourth leg: LPLA>EGQL =1,645 mi

Total: 7,065 mi
Average dist. between waypoints: 1,766mi

Any aircraft with the callsign "OPFOR--", with -- being two numbers, are opposing force and will ignore ATC. The only people authorized to fly as OPFOR are high ranking OPRF members (Colonel and above), and will not be flying farther south than EGPA, nor disrupting Festival activities. ATC's are welcome to neglect/ignore them as they see fit.

All OPRF members not flying as OPFOR are expected to behave and cooperate with ATC. If we need to transit through controlled airspace at a high speed, we will notify ATC.
And, as always, all are welcome to fly with us, as long as you're willing to use the OPRF aircraft and are open to being shot down. =]

OPRF is currently deciding it's January event location! Poll open on the OPRF forums at https://opredflag.shivtr.com - the Canadian Rockies are currently in the lead, but the poll is open until Friday!

Also, if you don't see much traffic on the forums... we've been heavily using Discord for our communications. Rest assured we are still quite active.

Impressive refueling video! :-)

With my previous experiences with FlightGear two aircraft would never be able to see the same situation (one aircraft would experience to be in one position, wile the other would see it be some hundred to thousand feet/tens to hundreds of meters away). Might have something to do with that I have only used FlightGear 2.0, 2.4 and 3.0 in multiplayer so far.

Too bad about the boom extending too far, though the animation looks really great otherwise. :D

The lag adjustment settings that has been apart of FG for a few releases now makes this possible. It would be great if you could come join us sometime, we have a Discord server (check opredflag.com for the link), and fly out of Nellis Air Force Base (KLSV) fairly regularly. I don't mind flying off your wing in a parade formation.

OPRF's URL has changed to:
http://opredflag.com

It might look dead-ish, but we are still very active with dogfights every week. Most of our day to day communications happen over discord instead of the forum.
