Thanks - since I'm going to submit those files to the Festival repository and then to the OpenRadar project/the scenery maintainers, could you please confirm that you're willing to license them under the GPLv2 or later (just to have a written record for that)?

A file containing all SIDs/STARs/approaches for a given airport - pilots can use it to input SIDs/STARs/approaches in the Route Manager so they won't have to specify all waypoints manually; see my earlier reply to simbambim.

Hello,

Yeah sorry, that not clearly said, but as i post here and it's available for all from the forum, it's surely GPLv2 & free of charge, as like LFLL scenery (in development but first part is available on TS now).

I can work on the missing file, but i need an example, could u tell me where to find a correct xml files i can check to create the one needed for Lyon Saint Exupery.

Thanks! Adding the files right now. (Also, regarding the license, I assume you're fine with the "v2 or later" part - I need the "or later" clause to be able to submit the OpenRadar file to the project, as OpenRadar is under GPLv3+).

Regarding the Route Manager example, you can download the one made for LEBL, or look at this post (there is, unfortunately, no documentation for this file format). Make sure to use the latest official French AIP charts (the link is in the first post).

What is currently the "comunication" channel for this type of event ?
I use to be connected on mumble, but if i need to set up a FGCom station, i just need to be aware about that.

And i use to provide SIA link to pilots who ask for

BTW concerning the charts all is good except for the land charts , particulary for the taxiway, some actually on the charts doesnt exist on the FG LFLL layout.
I didn't have time to take WED in hand, so update to the new layout have not been done / sent to X-Plane Gateway.

I am looking for a person who can manage WED do to this, i need to to dig ground (for exemple to set up the TGV Station) so if u know someone who can do this i'd like to be in touch with him to ask how to do that.

For informations,

From the new charts, taxiway A8, B8, S6 doesn't exist on FG
Taxiway A9, B9 are named A7 & B7 on FG
Speed exit V4, V6 et V8 doesn't exist on FG
Best regards

Mumble, plus text chat as a backup/for the pilots who can't/won't use voice communication.

I can use WED - I don't have much time at the moment, should I have some free hours I'll try and take a look at it. Digging the ground, however, is not a task that can be done in WED (I think it involves GIS), and I don't know anyone who could help you there, unfortunately.

I improved the LFLL layout a bit:
http://media.lug-marl.de/flightgear/LFLL/
I did also upload to the gateway but that can take a few days until it gets accepted.

you have to use terragear/genapts850 to make a .btg file for usage in flightgear.

hmm...
Both Bing and google maps don't have those extra taxiways between the runways that you can see on openstreetmap.
I think openstreetmap is wrong here. NAVIGRAPH of 2012 also does not have them . ...BUT there is this photo made in 2013:
http://img854.imageshack.us/img854/6143/mfzg.jpg
so maybe OSM is right an all the others are wrong.

I think OSM is right: if you take a look at the most recent ground movement chart, the extra taxiways are there. (Reminds me of the times I had to adjust my LIPX layout as airport management repainted stands quite frequently...)

Unfortunatelly, I can't do ATC training on the 10th because I'll be away in the evening.
So I'm going to do only one on the 17th.
Regarding Aviano's scenery, it's hardly impossible that I can end it before the event, still to many things to finish, check, edit, etc.
I'm sorry but you'll have to wait next year for something done.
Regards, Maverick

Update: LSGG route manager file is now available from the repository.

Warning: The NON-RNAV SIDs (28 out of 31) and STARs (5 out of 24) do NOT include complete information about your route (because it is not possible to include). You still have to follow the chart to fly your route correctly.
Fly on VATSIM and die.

The training session is approaching - in order to get going quickly, I kindly ask ATCs to:
  • set up Mumble according to the Mumble wiki page;
  • download OpenRadar (see the Download page) and uncompress the OpenRadar ZIP file to a suitable place;
  • download the OR files from the Festival repository - follow the instructions in the README file to install them;
  • launch OR by double-clicking on the JAR file; in the Welcome window, open the Flightplans page and change the settings as follows:
    Click Check Settings to make sure you're all set.
  • Switch to the Settings tab and select an UP multiplayer server near to you. If possible, avoid using servers 01 and 02 as they are the most crowded/have latencies. Click on Check Settings & Save.

See you at 19 UTC!

I'm having issues with my PC and I also would like to take part to FGUK's last Vulcan flightnight so I dunno if I'll be able to do both things in the same time...
