islandmonkey, as it appears you are on Ubuntu, have you tried removing your local mumble settings folder (on kubuntu /home/USERNAME/.config/Mumble, so probably on Ubuntu there as well) ?

If you purge a package, all system-wide files are removed. But user files will stay inside the home directory.
If you want remove your user settings, delete (or rename) the config files inside the home directory.
Here on Debian it is also '/home/<username>/.config/Mumble', but i have tested to rename and move that file away.
After that, Mumble goes through the wizzard for audio settings, but knows the stored server. I dont know where Mumble store it.
(have actually 'rgrep' running)

Edit:
found '/home/<username>/.local/share/Mumble/Mumble/.mumble.sqlite'.

That removes the server, but it doesn't clear away the old certificate (not sure if this is necessary). Nonetheless, just noticed that the 'automatic certificate creation' option is blanked out on both the available package from the Ubuntu repos, and the .deb file for eoan that I sourced from the PPA. It also doesn't launch me into the audio wizard (which I don't need but would be a good sign that it has completely forgotten about me).

VATSIM CHARTS
VATSIM has changed their appearance in Internet. e.g. If you look for charts etc. see:
1) Call up: https://vatsim-germany.org/pilots/aerodromes
2) --> Aerodromes - VATSIM Germany
3) TYPE the search (e.g. "EDDF") into the field left of "Reset Filter" - do NOT push that button!!
4) activate by clicking onto the found data below that input field!

Tell me if you know a better way!

Hi Jomo,

What is the reccomended scenery for Frankfurt?
I had a user ask me this elsewhere, and I was not sure if the EDDF - ELLX scenery that used to be on your website was in any way different to what is now on TerraSync?

Terrasync has basic EDDF scenery, I used customized one from fgmembers with additional features from Project3000 :

Quite frankly I cannot give you any advise of what you guys want to use for your usage!
But I can show you how my scenery looks like in http://www.emmerich-j.de/EDDF/Films/films.html

That one is the GITmap --> https://github.com/FGMEMBERS-TERRAGIT/terraGIT.
to which I added locally for EDDF some more parking planes and similar - so it is a little more crowded in the films - but of course others do not see those added targets - such you may notice that some people do park "inside" another plane - but nobody (including me) cares about that.

Sound missing on film from yesterday: [http://www.emmerich-j.de/EDDF/Films/20200524sun1803-192.mp4]
I am very very very sorry about that - especially because that was an extremely busy session - where the big advantages of mumble were extremely easy to understand.

To understand that sound problem: I work with two PC's:
One for recording what is actually on the Internet - so I am sure I get the same data+sound as everybody during the session - and thus is onto the movie created on that PC.
The second to support me with a second (different) view - that helps me visualizing more then is actually filmed. Also on that is my mumble --> feeding into the recording on PC1 what I talk on the PC2! (Did anybody else recorded that session and could provide a copy?)
Sorry sorry again: I admit I sometimes use a very stupid operator - but: It was very crowded and busy when starting our event - and he did select different EDDF-mumble- ports for my 2 PC's - thus the prime did not record anything of mumble (on the wrong port!) !

I am very very sorry --> I hope that will never happen again!

Thank you. But my question is, the EDDF-ELLX scenery is now obsolete due to terrasync (ws2.0), correct?

I do not know an "EDDF-ELLEX" scenery - so I cannot comment on it.
I would suggest always using a worldwide scenery - and I guess (only most?) pilots are interested in more sceneries then just for 2 airports!

Can it be the one you have link to in your films page

if you want to update your standard eddf-scenery --> downloadhttp://www.emmerich-j.de/eddf20161218.zip and read the readme inside.

Is this the one you are using?

Jomo,
You yourself used to advertise that scenery many years ago. And I thought indeed, that you were one of the creators of it?
It was one which added the third runway at Frankfurt, before it existed in TerraSync.

Scenery the last !!!
Gentleman
I am sorry - but I do not understand what your problem is!
At the beginning I told you already that I use https://github.com/FGMEMBERS-TERRAGIT/terraGIT! Have a look there and read the description: i.e. you can download all or some tiles or what you want.

And see all notes I distribute since years: I changed to this github -- and have still installed the standard FGFS scenery in parallel (BUT DO NOT USE IT during ATCing!!!). Also you can install both (or even more) in parallel (if you want to). If you use the FGFSversion for EDDF you should add my fix http://www.emmerich-j.de/eddf20161218.zip as pointed out on the Film-pages in the tips on top of http://www.emmerich-j.de/EDDF/Films/films.html.

Pls consider these hints seriously and only if needed continue this discussion.
Hope I could help jomo

IDIOTS & Co
Again there is an absolute Idiot trying to destroy our EDDF-Triangel sessions. This Idiot obviously belongs to that group that did already try to overtake our successful event.

In general we now are on a very promising way to get people use "mumble" for Radio -Communication - but exactly that this Idiot uses to disturb us by sending idiotic speeches, music, sex-advertisements, etc. He does that by using translator Machines --> i.e. there is no "familiar, personal" voice. In addition he sends his stupidities over other user IDs - so we believe it comes from other visitors!.

In case anybody of You know him (by Name and/or Home or Business Address) please tell us - that would help us to get his IP-Adress to be deactivated -- and maybe we can add some drastic LAW-procedures against him - especially his often very drastic sexual songs and talks are good for some years in prison! In addition I assume he has some good technical background - that should enable him to apply for higher employments in big companies - but surely he is tooo stupid to know that those companies evaluate the networks/internet etc to check the personality of people for better income areas! Maybe he will wonder in some time why all wanted companies do not care about his "officially" good testimonies - but the company will never tell him why! (i.e. What they found in the internet about him!)

Please to all of YOU: Help us to get some reality into his absolute idiotic brain! And if you visit EDDF and this idiot shows up: Just continue as usual - do NOT AT ALL care about him. And:
* it may happen that we get some faked info's from You - that actually are from that idiot! So please try to be patient! Especially on mumble we may have to repeat our advise several times and much louder than needed - better that then giving up to such an idiot
* and forgive us - if we may respond to you "different than you expected" - it may be he has started something with your ID - without you noticing it!
* thanks to visitors in the last sessions for supporting everybody with a lot of patience - and forgive me if I (sometimes!) happened to react nerved!

I am sorry - but still: in the end Mumble will help us to overcome these idiotic attempts!!!!
If you do not yet use mumble --> see http://www.emmerich-j.de/mumble/mumble.html

Over all this time I had him local muted, therefore whatever the nickname he was using after reconnecting, it still remained muted because of his account being the same. He was basically surfing across the channels so it's not just an EDDF problem.
I'd suggest others regularly on Mumble to do the same regarding local mute.
I guess it's just a lonely kid living in a basement, pretty much that's how we all imagine trolls after all ahah.
Thanks Jomo for dedication in continuing to offer services despite all the annoyance. In the end it will get bored of doing this and hopefully stop to have fun at other people's expenses, unless he gets IP-banned before that. But until then, ignoring and keep going will be the best solution to show we don't bother as you said.
