o, and STOP saying you are busy, 3 pilots being controlled??? And you call that busy??? I have seen controllers in FG handle 15 (not so good) pilots properly, and on VATSIM controlles handle 30 at a time...

Wecsje wrote in Sun Aug 06, 2017 9:20 pm:@JOMO:Next time just read, and you will understand. Also, I think your atc service would get better if you actually read messages.

Thank you for your wise words - but that I was already taught long ago by my mom! How about you? Are you able to read and write and count?
Compare the films:
http://www.emmerich-j.de/EDDF/Films/201 ... 909-75.ogv starting at 19:40:48
http://www.emmerich-j.de/EDDF/Films/201 ... 024-73.ogv the whole thing.
That proves that I did read your and your friends msgs - I even replied - and I even did what you requested: "neglected you". So in general: What are you complaining about?

Anyhow: Let me give you some hints:
1) Read the msgs before you blame others (and make a difference between listening and writing - that day was no mumble - so no voice communication).

2) Do not state idiotic things like You would need to use FGFS-MP in order to see the FGFS traffic when on VATSIM! Why do you need to see the FGFS-traffic when you do not want to participate within that group? Why not just do your thing in VATSIM with the VATSIM-controlls? Thus no interactions/disturbances between the 2 applications. All VATSIM users with all their different Flight-Simulators are doing that! Or do you believe you are such a beauty that all others have to love it when you cause unnecessary problems?
BTW: I was involved in the development/testing of the FGFS-Interface to VATSIM - long before you even heard that there is something like that. And if you could read, you would have noticed that I often suggest to people, that call for a stricter ATC-Ctrl, to use VATSIM - but I am truthful to add: There you need to learn to fly (and ATCing) prior to be allowed to participate. I very purposely will stay open for beginners - maybe some time they learn enough to then upgrade to VATSIM. I still hope that some day even you may understand the difference!

3) Last not least: If you see those films you should be able to count 40 targets in total. Including the even more stressy "neglected" and "really new pilots" and "troll"s and "real idiots" and having to type everything (mumble was dead) etc.etc. -- I do not believe you can point to any event that caused more stress to the single ATC! And pls. do not forget to mention: VATSIM is using a more realistic ATCing - i.e. in more stages with more ATCs and more job-splitting -- and they only have to deal with educated and registered pilots!

4) The worst is, that you then even supported those little idiots in their doings with "words"," UFOs", "Fake-ATCs", etc. etc. --> I believe that reviels you as somebody I do not want to ever meet again. Please never never come back to EDDF while I am ATCing. If you really need the anonymity of the INTERNET for your Cyber- Mobbing to feel great -- well -- then I do feel very sorry for you - but: Please stay from the EDDF-Triangle events!

I think I have the full right to fly to EDDF whenever I want, even if you are controlling. You DO NOT own the airport. And again, as said, please read: to be able to see VATSIM traffic, I have to have FGMP enabled, there is no other way at the moment (VATSIM traffic comes through squawkbox and is input into FG as mp traffic).

Yes, FG-MP is required for VATSIM, as Squawkbox injects MP traffic, and the MP chat is used to send MSGs to VATSIM. The only fix would be to mlhave an own MP server, which VATSIM pilots only use.

That can be done, if someone volunteers to set up a server obviously ;) .

I'm new to Flightgear (about a year) and also new to this forum so please correct me if this is the wrong location regarding my post/ comment.
In response to Jomo's question regarding better video quality I notice you use Record My Desktop, I record most of my flights, pause except takeoff
and landing and I have better results with Kazam (mp4 format). I know it's a bigger file but better playback experience.
Also regarding a lot of talk lately with Jomo and his style, I don't mean to offend anyone because I love to fly and am hooked on ATC and what I have heard
even with real live ATC it gets a little rough out there, examples can be found on youtube. I guess my point is its probably not possible to please everyone
unless we go to automated voice like FSX has. Again no pun intended, I'm just trying to help.
Hope we get mumble back soon. Kind regards AAL545

I just tried it locally between 2 PCs + Handy: Works great!
Let us try it at our EDDF-Triangle tonight.

To set the new mumble:
* Open mumble start page
* edit the settings for your Login
* overtype the old ("mumble.allfex.org") to the new "mumble.zenserv.fr"
* also overtype the Port with "60303"
Would be nice hearing you tonight (again)

Hi Wecsje - I know: You have problems reading before shouting: And I really do not care if you request all Pilots having real IFR-licences for big Passenger-plans when participating in your events :P . But please be so nice to allow other people to continue as they described it already in 2010 (i.e. 3 years before you even joined FGFS , see http://www.emmerich-j.de/EDDF/ "Participants / Customers:"). May be you should define what you want for your own events in a similar script! I promise: Nobody (not even that absolutely bad "jomo") will object to whatever you propose to your customers!

But please allow others to continue with what they are doing quite successful since years. Do not be jealous - maybe you achieve that too (in some years!)

Not sure what you are talking about now, and I am certainly not jealous (of what should I be?). And that I joined the forums in 2014 doesn't mean I haven't been flying in FG before... And as a disclaimer, I don't care what people do, if they want to fly to you, fine, but if they ask me if you are "good" and "nice", I tell them they should maybe rethink their plans.

Regards,

Charlie (Wecsje)

Mumble ALLFEX / ZENSERV
jomo wrote in Wed Aug 09, 2017 8:47 am:MUMBLE available again !!

Yesterday I got from Markus Pargmann (mpa@devmp.org) the info that "ALLFEX" is available again. Without any reasoning or explanation or proposals about how we can get informed if something like that happens again.

So I am not sure if we should go back to "ALLFEX" or now stay with "ZENSERV". Switching back and forth obviously did not cause any bigger problems.

Does anybody have founded thoughts about that, pro or con?

Well, I probably stay with ALLFEX, as ZENSERV refuses to allow me a workshop where I can work with others on developing. So my vote goes for ALLFEX.

Yeah Allfex has it all, maybe keep Zenserv as backup in case Allfex gets down.
