The problem exists now for 2 years but found the root 2 weeks ago.
In the meantime the developer of OR responded but he need time to investigate the problem closely.
So please be patiently, fix comes in some weeks.

Oh believe me I am glad we are this far, and I do respect peoples time off, etc, etc....

The changes to the multiplayer code on FG were discussed and announced in 2017.1. These are important changes that had been frequently requested by aircraft developers to increase the amount of available properties, the ability to change the default range (important for ATC clients) and an overall reduction in data transferred by roughly 30%.

2.5 years later in 2019.3 the V1 protocol will be no longer available for selection - however FG will continue to handle incoming V1 packets.

The next change that I've been working on for a while now is to have (optional) authenticated multiplayer.

FG users will have the option to disregard completely non-authenticated users.

However this will again be a change to the MP protocol so it will be something that is announced and discussed on the development list prior to introduction but OpenRadar will have to be changed to support this protocol change.

However given the amount of problem the last set of MP changes caused I'm cautious about actually making this sort of change.

I'd be interest to have a look at it, although I'm not sure I could help.
Let me know if you need someone to do some tests.

New FGFS version
Sorry - there was a new version for FlightGear announced today by PopUp - which I did install prior to testing on another PC. But that version is in conflict with the Linux-versions - it mixed and screwed up different versions of FGFS. I need some time to clean up that mess!

Sorry I cannot repair that before Wednesday - thus my usual ATC-services will not be available again before coming Wednesday!

Displaying models in EDDF-movies
sorry
after the problems with the changed MP-services we still have problems with filming.
Obviously we now get many model-versions from different libraries loaded - so when we zoom in/out with ORCAM we may see different versions. e.g. same model with different livery and may be higher or lower over GND.
Engineering is working on it - but that may be complicated because different groups are affected.
I guess no big problem for us: Looks interesting enough for an extra smile!

Hi Jomo,

I'm BACK but with some hickups.
As it turned out when I upgraded FG from 2018.3.1 to 2019.1.1 my PTT button on my yoke was mapped to brakes and no idea how that happened, so sorry for stopping on the runway and wherever, I just couldn't move!!!!!!
The other issue I'm having now on this new release is it seems FG 2019.1.1 doesn't like .gpx format, you see I sometimes use SkyVector to create a route amd save it .fgfs/export and then load it in the route manager,
everything is okay until I reach cruising altitude and then a few minutes later my mach speed drops to zero, the only way I can complete my flight is to keep it on IAS speed, weird!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Strange. What aircraft ?
I fly routes EGLL-KJFK and back via historic
NAT tracks SM and SN exported to GPX from skyvector without troubles. IMHO, it is not problem FG, but aircraft.

It makes sencse that it's not FG version but rather an aircraft issue because if it was a FG issue I wouldn't even make it to cruising altitude, right? (It follows the route without an issue)
I fly the latest B777 from FG installed from launcher.
I could uninstall and use an older model that I have saved from http://mirrors.ibiblio.org/flightgear/f ... aft-trunk/
On FG 2018.3.1 and prior I never had an issue with this. I'll do one more test then I'll try an older aircraft..

Have you any idea how to reproduce it? I had this issue once, in early 2019, but have never been able to reproduce and thus fix it. Otherwise I'd love to dig into it! If you have a log or the like this would greatly help me.

All I can say is I'll try a flight again with the .GPX flightpan and see what happens.
Not sure what to look for in the logs though!

Yesterdays "Mumble-Problem"
Towards the end of yesterday's session I was unable to speak via mumble - but I could hear the others! Still it was a terrible session-end for me (and some others!).

So at least we all can learn now: Using mumble with a Keyboard-button for the microphone works wonderful - until the Keyboard-cable is cut! So my equipment says "SORRY" to all of you - it is now working again (with a new keyboard!)

Any idea what happened to the Mumble server?
I read in a different FG forum that Josh is no longer on FG, it would be nice if Josh would respond so we know where we stand.
