Ahh, it's so good to have everything back up and running, after having to reformat the hard disk with all the FG stuff on it because of some zombie files produced by a loose cable sliding out of the socket mid-write !

I have no idea yet, whether I'll be able to get TerraGear modified in a way that it builds correctly sloped runways, without also giving them 10°+ bank - so you'd better make a different plan than Papua for coming Wednesday !

Again, I may not be able to make it tomorrow but if I can then I think on this occasion, the C182 will provide me with a nice challenge for the event. Was there a roumor there is a versin of it that is currently more up to date than the official hanger version?

@chris: both versions should be close together. You should be able to check differences by visiting the github latest release page, clicking on the release and it shows a link in the header „soandso many commits“. That link leads to a comparison page for that release and shows the advancements in the github version vs fgaddon.

Very nice session, as always ! I guess I'm saying this for the hundredth time, but I do need a better PC so that I can run ALS with Terrain quality = Ultra all the time, mainly because of the nice cloud shadows:


Low pass over the beach, highlighting the beautiful water shader we got (I mean the different reflections at the shore):



As for next week, yesterday after the session I finally got my TerraGear modification's basics working, so I can finally build airports with a sloped runway that you don't skid off from because of excessive bank ! So, we can do bush flying in Papua next week ! (did someone talk about bush flying in the session yesterday ? )

Was a nice flight, which i extended to the Gejranger Fjord after we finished. I got company too and we had a nice chat.

Unfortunately at the last airport i had to go around, was too heavy and barely hit a tree but damage was sufficient to make me experience a „das ist nicht gut Moment“ which ended with my plane parked at its roof…


I enjoyed meeting you all again after all those weeks!

Papua scenery won't be ready for tomorrow - I suggest redoing Gliders at Zell am see ? We could try out PlayeRom's Aerotow Everywhere addon available through FGAddon since yesterday, if no one wants to be the towing service !
