I was looking forward to this, but then I was a bit disappointed … I didn't get a single successful landing on the carrier done ! :(

If we repeat this I think I'll come in a VTOL aircraft … (and I don't mean a helicopter !)

Maybe next time you have Mumble, so someone can talk you down. Helps quite a bit.

Yeeea-haaaa :twisted: :mrgreen:

But more seriously, Cessna FDM (I think) did not like being on a carrier. From carrier perspective I landed, stopped, and then the plane started to move (slide) backwards, finally leaving the deck.
From my perspective, plane stayed put where I stopped it, but I was hearing continuous tire squealching noises.

There also seems to be some heavy rework in shaders in next being done, as some effects were giving strange artifacts.
In LFTH I got runway side lines superimposed on atmospheric haze, which helped to locate the airport from the distance but was completely unrealistic, and near carrier the wake had some strange border.

I also got the 'crazy water movement' benih mentioned in some thread, as if suddenly water started moving _really_ fast.

That water moving fast thing I also have sometimes when I use a weather with zero wind. Stranger water borders I did not have (I'm using a nightly from June though).

Wow, I wish everything in FG were as simple as that … I pasted 20 lines of code from the wiki in my aircraft, and have got a working hitch ! :) Just tested it by opening two instances of FG - one with the glider and one with the 210 ! Piloting two aircraft at a time wasn't easy though … Anyways, on the next glider session I'll be happy to tow you all up ! ;)

Volador was also victim of the traps on deck:

It looks like the "fixed" deck is not moving with the carrier.

Shamelessly re-using Benih's old post we'll repeat the "Prenzlauer Spaziergang" next Wednesday!

@Volador: Nice captures!

Wait, I'll quickly make a custom scenery with a few parking spots ! so we don't have to type in coordinates. While writing this I see that I have 4 days for this so no need for "quickly" … :lol:

Excellent!
Like the typical lineup for gliders prior to start?
