Good thing about the shift is, that I will be able to take part in the Harz-Tour next week.
@TheEagle: thanks for your work, looking forward to see it. Is deleting the artificial landing strip and adding to the official terragear on option?
@Voladar: thanks for the plan B route and helping to keep the thread together.

Nicely done! Also good to add some kind of "good practice" as this helps on top of reading manuals.

Regarding dialing in heading and altitude: This is something which should be on buttons, as it is very common single pilot or dual pilot to use this also during manual flying as a memory helper.

For all pilots that use the DHC-6 Twin Otter (like powoflight), i have fixed some bugs, reworked the lights (compatible with 2020.3 and 2020.4) and updated the radios.
SurferTim has allready updated his Github repo.

happy flying

PS: if i have time tomorrow, i will also spawn with the DHC-6 :)

I tested SurferTim's dhc6 2 weeks ago. But I hade problems with the intake deflectors. I turned it on as always, but the turboprop engines die in the dirt. No idea why.
So I went back to the old patten version. Never change a runing system in Aircrafts , you can crash
But shouldn't be a problem for anyone.

Oh, havn't known that there is another one.
As far as i can tell, the version of SurferTim is a copy of the FGAddon.
He improved some things on the engines (engine upgrade).
On top of that i improved the exterior lights now.
So, nobody has changed the behavior of the intake deflectors.
If it is bad on SurferTim version, that it must also bad on the FGAddon version.
I will take a look on Pattens version if i have time for it.

I think you mean that one: http://pattenflightgear.wifeo.com/dhc6- ... -otter.php

I have tried both version SurferTim and the FGAddon. Same result.
Interesting is that the intake deflecors switches goes back in the off Position.
In the old Patten version the stay in the on Position.

In the surfertim, fgaddon version there are changes in
/controls/engines/engine/
concerning

# DHC6 INTAKE DEFLECT Staub auf Landebahn
# pirate version orig version Patten
# off on off on
# intake-deflector 1 1 0 1
# intake-deflector-extend 0 1 only exist in the SurferTim Version
# intake-deflector-extend-pos 0 1 only exist in the SurferTim Version
# intake-deflector-pos no no 0 1

In SurferTim intake-deflector-pos goes allwas back to off

Sorry for the bad format , have no time now......
Editor takes no tabs and no spaces
A tablet is ....... arrgggghh too , try to correct me allways for german words .....

I will likely hop in with the Cessna 182S.
I do have FGCom-mumble running.

Again, a very nice flight :) enjoyed it!

Nice look to Santander after departure of LEXJ

For the record: Marius was the winner of the "how much fuel has Beni left" contest. I guessed 8 gallons, which was followed by Mariusz and that was nearly spot on - i got 7.3 in the tanks after I shut down the engine at the parking spot. :)

Great trip ! There was just one thing not great on this trip … The left landing light of my Cessna 208B Grand Caravan makes a weird shadow:

Image

When I switch it off, the shadow is gone:

Image

But luckily, I didn't need my landing lights much as the sun soon got higher. Almost crashing in a ridge (because of the landing light shadowI couldn't see it in time :wink: );

Five Cessna's at Ballesteros-Santander:

A ghost plane ? :

A view you could never get in reality:
