yeah, only with ALS because it is what is doing the light scattering which is how rainbows and the aurora are projected with their colors...

[edit]

here's SOTM rainbow:

and here's one of the aurora:

"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

OO ZVY wrote in Sun Jul 25, 2021 7:25 pm::-) true. Beautiful Country, volcano, rainbow, nothernlight and plenty of airports.

ready for ETOPS ops ?

that looks like a couple of hours flight OO ZVY. I'd be up for a local based flight in the area - I've done a bit in the past and there's some nice elevation variation in the landscape.

[edit] I might not be able to make the Wednesday evening flight this week (or might have to leave early) :(

So what are we doing now exactly at wednesday?
A couple of Hrs is too much for wednesdays, and we usually focus on small planes GA flying...

For the next week I have a nice working route from germany to cross the alps to italy, visiting some famous places of Castle Neuschwanstein and germanys highest peak along the way.

For clarity I should have added date for information juliett, so yes, scotland part 3 is the plan for this week.

@benih: Sounds good, as you can never fly too little in the Alps. Maybe next week (Although I will not be able to attend.)?

Tip for real and brave aviators - from Jomson to Kathmandu around Annapurna :
https://skyvector.com/?ll=28.6995822429 ... KTM%20VNKT

Suggested plane - DHC6
With good photoscenery is this trip very very spectacular.

And for airliners (737, A320) - scenic tour around all eight- thousanders, from Thoise to Paro. This is bit longer trip, but very nice with real challenging final approach as bonus.

Check video :

I recommend latest A320family, terrain on NAV display is VERY handy.
Fly high, fly fast - fly Concorde !

@OO ZVY - can you update the meet times /take-off times for this evening on your post in the Information Juliet post? :) (just cut and paste from the previous posts if the times/links work)
Again, not sure I can make tonight but updating the information will make it clear for anyone wanting to take part.

done, as I just came by. We stick to last week's time, which hopefully works for everyone.

Chris, would be great to see you, but no rush.
