Maybe i do also the caravan. Which one exactly are we talking? (the yasmin variant, or the "grand caravan"?)

I didn't know the 172 had a floats option - maybe I'll choose that too :) And, it's the Grand Caravan recently updated by epilot

"Why not?" said Gurder.

All the airport information is there @TheEagle :D we are landing three times on water (including the final water destination *near* Geneva airport but not at the airport) and one airport half way through on concrete that is listed. The skyvector route gives you some clues... I hope you have all practiced the catchphrase

@Theagle make sure you can find the gear/floats configuration in the menu - you *will* need to change it in-flight from gear to floats and back again for this trip unless you have some super skills at landing with the Caravan floats+gear down on concrete - I, for one, have not been able to master this yet (but I'll blame the xbox controller :? ).

Please show me that third water landing - According to the SkyVector route we are only flying over lakes at all twice - once near Geneva and once near Annecy - maybe I'm just blind or something, but I simply cannot find ?!

hopefully the craft has an amphibious option along with the floats option... that way it'll have both floats and wheels... since you cannot switch from floats to wheel IRL ;)

@TheEagle, water landings are 4605N00655E, 4551N00610E and at the final destination 4613N00610E - they are not official water airport locations, they are large water bodies we will land on ...because we can :D

The Cessna 208B is impossible to land with floats enabled on concrete runway - it simply flips over - the cause of that, it seems, is, that the floats go into the ground too far. So, I'll take the default Cessna instead.

@powoflight - yes that is a good interpretation of the route, and yes the first water landing is hard to find (at about 6000ft) but I'll lead and talk everyone to it. Yes, it will be a challenge especially at LFHM as the South end of the runway has very little space for us to turn and assemble. It should be fun!
@TheEagle, yes even with the amphibious config and gear down on the Caravan it flips for me every time. I'll be bringing the C172 also.
@all the amphibious C172 with the 180hp engine can manage about 90-100kts on the initial climb to 6000 and is fine for the cruise at around 120kts
