Under the GPL, a company can modify and re-sell it all it wishes (for profit,) as long as it remains under the GPL. If, upon purchase, they do specify the GPL (and other requirements, such as the source code or a way to obtain it) as the license then they're fully legal. But Curt remains the copyri...
