Sorry, for some reason I thought you were on a Mac system. Just rum the program cmd, or the powershell, and run the nslookup command Alan wrote about.

so anyway, that's the main thing... powershell should be able to do the same thing on winwhatever... the main part being the logging of STDOUT and STDERR which should grab all console output... it meshes pretty well with the ~/.fgfs/fgfs.log ...

... well... it won't be so simple if you try to get too tricky with other quotes and escaped characters, though... so anyway, that's the main thing... powershell should be able to do the same thing on winwhatever... the main part being the logging of STDOUT and STDERR which should grab all console ...

... is not worth it for the current developers. This is because there is a simpler way that avoids the problems - simply run fgfs from the cmd or powershell. Also normal Windows users do not need such a developer-only feature, so it is a lot of work for not much gain. Regards, Edward

Windows 10 is adding more "DOS box" capabilities. As well as the familiar black window it has something called Windows Powershell, which is more user friendly and has a windows look and feel. The latest Windows 10 update adds a linux bash shell, but I have not tried that yet. ...

With the git version of Flightgear (and the next release) , to view the log you have to start Flightgear from a cmd or powershell window. - i.e. do it in the linux command line manner. The log mesages will appear in the same text window that you start Flightgear from, and will not ...
