we're talking about system setting things... like the snapshot directory and even the fgtape directory... or the ALS setting and choosing the custom options to set them maxed or whatever... AFAIK userarchive doesn't work with them as a new version uses its own saved ...

I've updated the announcment to make it clear that this is a post-processing utility, at least in the foreseable future!

What are the advantages of "fgtape" files could offer over the fg_log.csv, from a MapGear.py perspective?

Thanks guys for all your replies, I managed to find a way around this by using the inbuilt GameDVR for Windows 10 recorder.

No it doesn't have that capability. You can use OBS or another screen recorder though.
