Re: Updates to DO-228, Tecnam-P2006T, Falcon-50 and Diamond-

A note for the Falcon 50: I think it still has a bit much particles from the engines About the displays, this is an OSG Text problem, but it can more or less easily be fixed by replacing the nav displays with canvas ones. I made some small updates and edited the link from the original post to point...

Updated DO-228, Tecnam-P2006T, Falcon-50 and Diamond-Da42-VI

In the last few days I made some small quick improvements to 4 existing planes: ⋅ Tecnam P2006T https://github.com/FGMEMBERS/Tecnam-P2006T ⋅ Dornier Do 228 https://github.com/FGMEMBERS/DO-228 ⋅ Dassault Falcon 50 https://github.com/FGMEMBERS/Falcon-50 ⋅ My pre...

Re: Diamond DA42-VI updates

@Richard: Thank you for that very useful link.

@Johan G: Thank you for your suggestion, my previous post was once again not very skillful. Contributing directly through GitHub/GitLab and letting the code speak for itself seems like a good idea.

Re: Diamond DA42-VI updates

It seems that I missed part of one of the messages from Helijah about the water drops and that is what I understood.
Anyway I would rather keep any further changes I make related to flightgear for myself because it seems I keep getting myself in communication problems around here.

Re: Global low resolution textured sphere/mesh earth base

It seems that there is a severe miscommunication here. I posted here in the "Development > New features" as a suggestion (NOT a request, just a suggestion) in case anyone is interested in implementing this solution from x-plane that improves realism (it looks more spherical/circular and no...

Re: Diamond DA42-VI updates

Helijah told me he will probably add the new FDM from this version but not the new visual ALS features. I don't use my dropbox to host files for long period of times so make a backup somewhere in case you want this version with the ALS filters. Remember that the shadows and reflections are actually ...

Re: Sync the TerraSync data by hand using svn

I made a new folder and run svn checkout <path i got from http://scenery.flightgear.org/svn-server> It took almost a day to get everything, the main bottleneck was the speed of my hdd. TerraMaster only downloaded 30% in 4 days, not sure if it was using the wrong mirror or if is optimized to get smal...

Re: Global low resolution textured sphere/mesh earth base

I have been asked for screenshots to explain what I mean so after finally getting all the scenery here they are: X-plane (from their dev blog post at http://developer.x-plane.com/2015/03/extended-dsfs-in-x-plane-10-40/ ) at KSEA with reduced LOD range for low memory: http://developer.x-plane.com/wp-...

Re: Sync the TerraSync data by hand using svn

Not directly helping, but: are you sure it is worth downloading the whole world scenery at once? Most areas will probably be updated before you get a chance to fly there, or some human or software error is likely to render your download obsolete before you can benefit from it... If you have enough ...

Re: Sync the TerraSync data by hand using svn

googlecode is the wrong server... it is the old one from when everything was forced to move last year when googlecode and gitorious shut down... the proper way is to first find out which server is the closest to you... you do this by querying http://scenery.flightgear.org/svn-server which will give...

Re: Global low resolution textured sphere/mesh earth base

Could you please post a few screenshots (or even a youtube video link) to clarify what you are referring to ? Right now I am waiting for terramaster to finish downloading the whole scenery which might take a few days but I think that what Thorsten said about decreasing the visible range below LOD r...

Sync the TerraSync data by hand using svn

How can I update my current TerraSync folder using svn (I have no experience with svn, only with git)? I have already read this http://wiki.flightgear.org/TerraSync_by_hand_using_svn but I am not sure if those are the right commands and I don't want to ruin my existing data, because I already have a...

Global low resolution textured sphere/mesh earth base

The flight gear issue the bothers me most is that whenever flying at high altitude, with an airliner for example, I am flying above a big square and I see small squares being loaded in front of me while other small squares are removed in the back and this really ruins the immersion. Even if I greatl...

Re: Diamond DA42-VI updates

New update: like I said I have added a supercharger which greatly improved the FDM. The download link is the same. The high speed cruise at high altitude is now very close to the actual speed (186kt at 16000ft and 92% throttle instead of 190 kt), and the speeds at low altitude have decreased but the...

Diamond DA42-VI updates

I made some small updates to the existing Diamond DA42-VI from the fgmembers repository. Here is the download link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/kexmdyjlzhc7d2u/Diamond-Da42.zip?dl=0 And here are screenshots with the updated version: https://imgur.com/a/xD3HK Updates description: 1) Current version has...
