amazing... and those are just the feathers of some birds that was arround... poor animals

It looks more like they are individual birds, looking at the shape and proportional size. In certain airports in the UK we have vehicles which drive around the airport and make sounds which sound like a predator bird , if there is a group of birds spotted in the way- it scares them off.

Most of Europe has a high population of birds due to the climate and seasons, so I assume there are similar operations, hopefully not as daft as that.

well it's not in Honduras, that's for sure... we have our kinda "PETA" and our kinda "Green Peace" so, no way that would happen here, the most regular thing it's in MHTG (Toncontin) when planes (AA usually) hits vultures, but not birdstrike or anything because vultures are smart enough for not get near an engine... and by regular i mean every 1 or 2 years... :?

The state of CA allows the use of firearms to get rid of birds sitting near runways. They recently did that at Oakland because as we know from a little less than a year ago, they can be eaten and damage some components of the engine.

But anyways, this was posted here earlier...but not in this thread...

I so wanna create one of those om nom nom pics for that. Though that does remember me of the time that Philadelphia International Airport completely forgot our luggage when we were going back home from an East Coast trip. Luckily there aren't a very small amount of flights from Philly to SFO on US Air, so they put the missing luggage on the plane. And no, it's wasn't sucked into the engine. But that was the last time we flew US Air, and so far, at all.

I seen the first one before. Forgot to submit that one.
I submitted the second one already.
The third one is satire. Looks like a parody of the United 93 or 96 (gee I am so close, but lazy too confirm which one right now)crash.

That one is kinda horific, the engine came apart during take-off and parts burst into the cabin, killing 2 people.

This one reminded me of this :

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_A ... _Flight_27

The flight crew experimented with the engines causing it to overstress and explode, killing one passenger.

This had recently caught my attention: A Northwest DC-9-51 hitting another Northwest aircraft, an A319-114.

Gotta love those awesome Northwest pilots  (Yes, that image is from Failblog)
