New To Flight Gear

Hi i am new to flight gear and am downloading it now,can't wait. sorry if there is a specific topic on this.

I am not new to flight sims.

I already have

Microsoft flight simulator 98

And will be getting the free version of

Microsoft flight.

Tell you what i think :)

Well Dennis, hope you enjoy Flightgear. A few good planes to try out are the 777-200ER, A-10, F16, Piper Cub, the IAR80, P51d and lots more you will discover.

Yes, welcome to FG - and do make sure to check out the mentioned aircraft. FlightGear is a project that is entirely driven by volunteers, so that you get to see many aircraft and airports which are not yet as polished as their corresponding equivalents in commercial sims like MSFS or XPlane.
So, it make take a while to find the real gems.

Depending on the type of aircraft (piston, jets, biz, gliders) and scenery (America, Europe, Asia) that you are interested in, you might want to ask for some recommendations.

PS: There will be a new version (2.60) released shortly
Please don't send support requests by PM, instead post your questions on the forum so that all users can contribute and benefit
