Really good work and very easy to work with it. Nice to see a standalone ATC client.

While testing the zip version I had some issues:
  • Clicking on Ground/Tower/... , the radar update takes about 10 seconds 100% CPU usage on a Core i7 2600, airport EDLP. IcedTea JDK 7.2.3.3 (Just tested at KSFO, which is much faster)
  • Chat filters FRQ/VIS don't work as described
  • Flightstrip doubleclick doesn't work here.
  • No messages in chat are highlighted, everything is white.
  • I am not sure how to use fgcom with OpenRadar. I am using the linux fgcom version. If I enter the correct binary path, openradar tries to open a predifined wine path. With two fgcom instances started, I can't use openradar push to talk shortcuts.

Features that would be great to see:
  • Chat tab-completion for callsigns
  • A button to send an automatic ATIS message.
  • Predefined messages previously defined in txt files.
  • You can't see the direction lines in sector view. Perhaps you could give them a fixed size, independent of the zoom level.

Thanks for your work.

Is the routes system working.

I am unable to get anything working for TNCM

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
<!-- This file contains the STAR and SID of RW 26 -->
<routes>
<route name="BOPAT 2J SID" zoomMin="10" zoomMax="100" color="120,140,120">
<activeStartRunways>10</activeStartRunways>
<navaids>JUICE</navaids>
<bow center="PJM" radius="9" beginAngle="286" extentAngle="180" text="BOPAT" />
</route>
<route name="TNCM Holding">
<navaids>PJD</navaids>
<loop navpoint="PJD" inboundHeading="308" width="5" arrows="both" minHeight="4000" maxHeight="MAX 20000" stroke="dashed" color="0,0,0" right="false" />
</route>
</routes>

What am I doing wrong here. I've clicked on the runway as start and landing. I've clicked on PJD, I've searched for it, nothing appears on the scope

I suppose I should mention.
Fedora 16, 64 bit
Iced Tea 1.7 java
Latest version as of today
path/filename data/routes/TNCM.xml

AND SUDDENLY I SEE THE ISSUE "NEXT RELEASE"

Sorry for shouting just need to make sure others see this.

Okay have the March edition of the Open Radar.

1st of all. really good improvements, the route editing is great.

2nd, loops seem to be the same size no matter what I put the width too? Can we look at this as I have really big holding loops at the moment.

Also is there a better way to make curves. Currently it's a real effort to work out where to place the focusing point. Otherwise pretty darned awesome.

As soon as i have stuff finished for TNCM and EGKK I'll post them. Are you going to make a central repository?
