F-35 Lightning II

FG - F-35 JSF Project

UPDATE : 20/10/08 - FDM recieved carrier capable flying aircraft , all thanks to detlef . Won't release for testing yet

Current status - Model optimization
Target release date for flight testing : Nov 08

livery (anyone interested ?)
animations
instruments
(other stuff I dont know about yet but theres bound to be several

Ok hhs , i will of finished the control surfaces and basic cockpit by the end of the day ,will put before and after images . remember though it's still in early early development and i have only made a few minor adjustments to the model so far :)

The F-22 was the reason I started it ,I thought if there were two projects running parrallell to each other each using the same sort of skills we could help each other and because I figiured i can get it released around the same time as the F-22 so you all get two next generation fighters :)

Wow, this is fantastic! It is exciting to think of these aircraft together in FG.

yeah , might release them toghtether :) , im back at school next thuresday so im going to have to finish of the model in lessons :)

anyway i just finished the 3d cockpit model , imported cockpit from YF-23 abd edited it for use in F-35 ,also edited the F-4 pilot i gave him a HDD (the lates thing in helmets the Heads down display allowing him to look at enemy even if they are below him) later versions of the F-22 will be equiped with thes ein real life

the gear and weapons bays are next ,

I know it looks jagged but some parts are supposed to be and i want to finish large chunks befor ei move on to the details

Oh no, have your school work be number one- there is plenty of time for FG! I can certainly understand how the excitement of such a project leads to such measures though!

Dont worry the first few weeks are akways slow and im a fast learner

Detlef faber has agreed much to my hapiness to write the FDM for the F-35 , and will hopefully mop up all the mistakes i made in the model

you should check out the Harrier... maybe you can get ideas there if you need any. It's V/STOL too, using m and M to change the vectoring.
