I have to admit this one was easy. It is a Collins Aerodyne developed by Alexander Lippisch, a VTOL aircraft study from the 50s.

Sort of....

'Manned, somewhat precariously, research vehicle for possible ag operations. Aluminum framework with 10 McCulloch M75 two-cycle engines and 7'0" rotors. Hovered at 20', flew sideways and backwards with success.'

xxx felt that the approach had potential for military heavy-lift or agricultural applications.

Right, I estimated a 50/50 chance that you really knew it. Though it is not only turboprop converted. In fact they take the whole frame and build something pretty exciting with improved cockpits, interiors and more. I was pretty impressed after hearing about it once.
