Guess what plane this is

Postby Sweetgrapes » Mon Jan 24, 2011 3:37 pm

I was bored, so I thought a new game.
It´s really simple. Anyone can post a picture of an aircraft or better, aircraft part and let the others guess what plane it is.
If you have a big interest at aviation, then this one should be easy.

It's a guess out of the blue, but I would guess on a DC-3. I have seen some of them, or perhaps the same one, several times. I'd gather the spinner looks just right for a DC-3.

As a side note I just love the sound of them... 8)

You guessed it right, it is a DC-3.
Next one should be a little bit harder.

Extra task: If you know what this aircraft is, tell what engine this is. And please don`t use Wikipedia or any kind of search. After all, this is a guessing game

IL-62, or Bae 146.

Sorry, but both are wrong.
The IL-62 has 4 engines at the back and the BAe 146 has it`s 4 engines under the wings.
But you can always try again.

I think it's a plane MD-80 series, because the engines are elevated above the window.

Again, it`s not a MD-80, but we are getting closer to it.
Hint: this plane is in FG.

Nope, not them.
I thought that this is going to be easy, and that this is just a bit harder that the DC-3, but I was wrong.
Another hint: It`s out of production

I don't see a plane...

But yeah, those wheels used to support a Concorde ;) Next one's for you.
