I am happy because I got the "bus" off my desk. Now let my take a break and then I start to fight with helicopters.

Thinking about that,t he helicopters will make me probably unhappy again ... ;-(

Made my first perfect landing in the Mirage 2000-5 today. Would show you a video but I don't happen to have one.

...because after several hours of head-scratching, speed-reading and cut-and-pasting off this forum, I've made my first useful thing in Python: a script that plays an AC/DC soundbite when it detects via Telnet that a plane in FlightGear has got higher than 1000ft.

Back in Black actually! 8) Google has an interesting taste in music: searching for "sample .ogg file" comes up first with soundbites for ACDC, Phil Collins, then the Rayman 2 themetune...

Oh man. Good times.

I'm not even on FlightGear anymore, and I ran across this post today. This makes me happy, and I'll be smiling for days. 8) 8) 8)
Storch's, Incredible flights up in BC, Custom trucks with auto-re-packing parachutes, MD-81's on Carriers.... the best of days, months, years.
All the best guys. There's still nothing like FlightGear.

Happy #1: I got my part layout nesting code working pretty well!
Happy #2: I was able to do a real test cut out of cardboard and it all looks good!

Here is what the design would look like in 3d (ac3d model) if it was built:

Now my office smells like burnt cardboard! :-)

Pretty nice!
And if you overed it with canvas or paper.... I'm sure it would glide really well.
Could you make a proper home built plane with that?
Broken necks apart, obviously :)
