I'm happy because I found a Logitech WingMan Extreme 3D joystick on the side of the road after a yard sale. :) There is something wrong with the ADC for the Z-axis (rotation) potentiometer, but the rest of it works fine. What would you use the third axis for? Rudder? Is that even realistic--do any real aircraft have a stick that rotates?

I'm also happy to be a new member of this community. :)

Welcome Jakes!

I'm happy because I managed to build SimGear for the very first time! Thanks to a very patient Fred. Next is FlightGear, which I will try after tomorrow's reallife wing box destructive test at university :D

i was happy a couple days ago because i found dozens of chapters of the delightful "moomins" children TV series in hebrew language, on a website, and watched them all ! i am happy whenever people leave me my peace and dont give me any trouble or bad vibes. i am happy when i get a positive surprise in life. i am happy when i discover something new and amazing...

ok here i thought about something else that makes me go "wow". i bought a 10inch dobsonian telescope for astronomy only 1 year ago. soon i figured out it also works great for plane spotting. i live around karlsruhe, germany, its rather busy airspace. i also have a pair of cheap 20x80 astro-binoculars that also are great for spotting, you dont even have to prepare anything, just open my balcony door, pop out the bino, check out the aircraft and go back inside.

now the coolest thing is this: theres a website called "flightradar24", it gives you the exact location, altitude, speed, squawk and registration number, and even shows a picture of every aircraft in europe in realtime !... so on a lazy afternoon i can check out those aircraft in the sky, see wether its a 737, a business jet or something else, then go to that website and check out where its going and see all the details. everything without paying a cent. now thats awesome. :P :P

i also can check on flightradar24 what gonna approach in the next 30 seconds and than try to spot the aircraft. in the night u can see the cabin lights ! most aircraft fly high altitude (8K to 12K meters) but some who land in stuttgart or baden-baden come in rather low at about FL 20. on a good day i have visibility of 50 to 100km !

cheers MB

My first little scenery submissions, adding shared objects using the form at the scenery database, showed up in TerraSync scenery. :D

The picture below is from when I was placing them at N'Djamena International Airport (FTTJ), Chad

Good thing! I'm happy for you too! Good luck and success, and while getting famous, keep your feet on ground, at least with your musical career. :D

I am happy because:
There are a lot of things but the main ones right now are...
1) I'm alive.
2) I have a great family.
3) I found FlightGear and can learn how to fly a helicopter (before getting an ultralight).
4) The upgrade parts for my Double Horse 9104 were ordered and I can put her back in the air.

:D
