You were looking from a bad angle. Radar and winglets are wanted by bounty maintainer. Everybody is a critic. :)

Update: I've fixed the right winglet angle/length, cockpit wall thicknes, cannon turret and made a new main rotor. Thanks for sugestions!

mr_no:
The radar dome was in the final concept of the real Comanche so it belongs there. Such were the winglets. However, Petar told in an email that he plans to make those kind of thing selectable through the livery configuration.

However, I have to note that the right winglet is too long :).
But why don't we wait with criticizing until the model is ready? :)

I love Petar's models, from mig21bis to pc-9m. The guy can't make a bad model if he tried.
But, critic is there to help, not to hurt anyone. I told that about the tail because at one point I was modelling comanche myself and had the same problem, but abandoned it for other things.

Current status updates:

*final model is repositioned and all coordinate changes are updated in FDM
*model is uv maped and I'm working on the first livery
*gun/turret is fully animated and operational
*weapon baydoors are operational, weapons appear only when selected in payload and baydoors open
*radar and winglets appear only when selected (livery)
*landing gear is fully animated
*lights are functional

Issues:

*blurred blades are always visible
*doors pick feature doesn't work!
*sensors models and animations are missing
*weapon models are unfinished
*cockpit model and instruments are missing

Stunning, how fast you created such a high quality model!
Edit: Just out of curiousity: Did you also make the selectable stub-wings for extra armament?

Nope, it's still optional untill I figure out how to overide baydoors and their payload positions.
I have bigger issues with FDM and nasal, they gave me a headache, so I'm curently chilling out with textures;)

Hehe, you deserve some chilling out, I would say after this lightning-fast model creating :).
Do I see it right that you intend to put the engine exhausts to the liveries and not to the 3D-model?

There have been some changes in the final prototype:

Actually, there had been 3 versions of the RAH-66.

The first version until 2000 which you can see on the image by the other developer.

Then the second version with the changed tailstab and long endplates (around 2000) which you can see in the image by mr_no.

And finally the third and unfortunately last version with shorter endplates and a changed exhaust which you can see in the image of sgofferj
or here: http://digitality.comyr.com/Comanche/im ... rah-02.jpg
(Beware the cockpit and gatling cover looks different, but all other parts seems to be highly accurate!)

Wow, learning something new every day. :D

I for one was totally unaware of that there was several versions, or even that the programme was still running 2000.

I don't get her off the ground.
With AFCS active, she goes nose up. Even with full trim to the front and full stick to the front, I can't keep the nose down.
Without AFCS, she goes nose up and to the side, also pretty much impossible to counteract.

My bad, I've tried to play with FDM by increasing OH-1's rotor values... Reupload with original FDM is comming up. :D

Issues: tail rotor isn't working (spinning) and I probably need to add some balast mass. It's flying like a paper weight!

The same here.

Tips:
First make the correct CoG. Whenever you change Fuselage length, weights etc. CoG shifts and can make the heli unusuable. It should seat direct under the rotor centrum, maybe slightly 1-2inches behind, probably at the same height of the Fan Tail.

Don't use the stabilator- the RAH-66 has a fixed stab.

On the RAH-66 the pilot seats in the first row.

And it would be great if we could paint all surfaces, so also the bottom and the top of the fuselage.

Good start already, looking forward! :D
